Tributes pour in for the king of Ethiopian Music, Tilahun Gesssese gone at 69 Print E-mail

Tributes continue to flow in for Artist Dr Tilahun Gessese, the king of Ethiopian Music who passed away last week. A state funeral was conducted at Meskel square in front of hundreds of Ethiopians. His body rests at the cemetery of the Holy Trinity Cathedral.

Rest in peace, Gash Tilahun, you shall be in the heart of Ethiopians for generations to come!

Political Internet Filtering in Ethiopia
Ethiopia is the only country in sub-Saharan Africa to actively engage in political censorship of the Internet. Since May 2006, the top five most popular Ethiopian web sites (including CyberEthiopia) and several blogs have been blocked across the nation. The apparent objective is to prevent the dissemination of information that is critical of the regime.
