Pepu Fidel Mado performed in Zurich, Switzerland Print E-mail

A unique entertainment event organized by Kinijit Support Organization in Switzerland was held in Zurich, Switzerland on Saturday, 21 July 2007.

Seven Artists namely Alemtsehay Wedajo, Tamagn Beyene, Tesfaye Sima, Alemayehu Tadesse, Tewodros Legesse, Tigist Negatu and Comedian Meskerem Bekele delighted the crowd with their extraordinary performance on the stage. Artist Tamagn Beyene was a special guest and his performance can be watched on YouTube .

Pepu Fidel Mado is the work of the late Laureate Tsegaye Gebremedhin.

Since May 2006, the top five most popular Ethiopian web sites (including CyberEthiopia) and several blogs have been blocked across the nation. The apparent objective is to prevent the dissemination of information that is critical of the regime but also to send an intimidating message to the Diaspora and attempt to muzzle it.
