In this interview, Prof Kifle Sellassie Beseat, President of ACMEF (Asssociation Culturelle pour le Millenium ethiopien en France) elaborates on the objectives of the Ethiopian Millenium's celebration held at UNESCO in Paris (France) from the 17 to 21 Decembre 2007.

"The Ethiopian divertity reflects the world diversity" sayt the professor and explain the Ethiopian cultural diversity, the orgins of the Ethiopian calendar and alphabet,

Unity (an not uniformity) based on the respect of each ones personality and identity is the essence of the Ethiopian cultural diversity.

The apparent objective is to prevent the dissemination of information that is critical of the regime but also to send an intimidating message to the Diaspora and attempt to muzzle it.
